SCHOOL PUPIL ACTIVITY BUS (SPAB)

The state of California has specific rules and regulations when it involves transporting students, grades K-12. Part of these regulations requires motorcoach companies to be inspected annually by the California Highway Patrol. These are comprehensive inspections of the vehicles, maintenance records, driver’s qualification files, drug testing programs and accident records. At Discovery Charters, we take pride in the fact that we are a SPAB-certified motorcoach company with an outstanding record with the California Highway Patrol.

Your safety is our utmost concern. As required by SPAB regulations, Discovery conducts safety meetings and behind-the-wheel training to provide our drivers with in-service hours throughout the year. We have a California state-certified SPAB trainer on staff who ensures our drivers are compliant in their training. In addition, Discovery keeps our drivers and staff current on the various changes in rules and regulations.
